       As you can see i have finally edited the theme of my blog. I am still trying to figure out how to make it work. Anyway, in English class, we started talking about leadership and the qualities of leaders. This is also a topic we have been talking about in ROTC. In the book Lord of The Flies, the leader, Ralph, is chosen to be leader because he is the one who blew the conch and gathered them all to the beach. Nobody knew him or what qualities make him a leader. As the book goes on he begins to fill this role. He is focused on the rescue of him and the boys. Meanwhile Jack, who we thought was leader-like, is drifting away from that. He has developed a blood lust and just wants to kill and hunt. I think this is the result of not killing the pig the first time. He feels the need to redeem himself. He also is very disrespectful to Piggy, leaders should treat all of his followers equally. It is true that Ralph does not fulfill that quality much either, but he does not treat Piggy as badly. As i was googling i came across this quote-

which can kind of relate to what Ralph is doing. He did not set out to lead the boys but he was chosen by them and is slowly filling the role with his actions. 

        When i reviewed my classmate's blogs i realized some of them ended with a question to get their viewers thinking. However, i am terrible at formulating questions for people, so forgive me if its a terrible question. In the comments below, describe a time when you took a leadership position when you did not have the title of leader. This is all for now until next week, so smell ya later homes.

How does ambition effect decision making? Well first, lets define ambition. Ambition is  a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work. The meaning is within itself. Ambition is the the most powerful tool to success. It is how you apply yourself and how badly you want it. Edison had the ambition to invent something to be able to see in the dark without using a candle. Karl Benz had the ambition to travel to places much faster without taking a step. Muhammad Ali had the ambition to be the best. The Wright brothers had the ambition to stop traveling on the ground. America had the ambition to be independent. From Pages to Pictures

I think most readers can agree on the fact the the book is ALWAYS better than its motion picture. Books involve the reader and allow them to use their creativity to have their own vision in their head for what the characters and settings in the story look like. Everyone has a different perception and interpretation of the book which upsets the readers when they watch the film version because the director's vision doesn't match theirs. In writing stories too, it gives the author no limitations and he could write as much or as little as he wants. In making a film, there are budgets and time restrictions which lead to scenes from bools being cut, sometimes even the most important. The qualities that make the movie good enough to be a representation of the story include a multitude of factors.
